Prior to my last visit to the bridge, I would have certainly recommended this venue to friends and family. Unfortunately this review reflects my latest visit which left me wanting a lot more from the quality of service, specifically the manor in which I was spoken to by the young lady behind the bar. I won't bore anyone with specifics but needless to say is was unacceptable. I also heard her speaking quite loudly and confrontationaly to another customer in a non professional manor moments before (something about bar staff tips), which again was unacceptable. This employee was not having a good day/evening. Currently it will be a while before I revisit the Bridge House which is a shame. I hope that in the future I may be able to amend this review to reflect a higher quality service and more enjoyable experience than what I had had this past weekend

This is our go to place in town if we need something not too fancy. You can get a sandwich lunch for two for under £15 and the bigger mains are well priced too, a particular highlight are the chips which are really good.

Had Christmas menu here earlier this month nice rare beef. Meal ok service good. Just eaten same meal here tonight but sadly beef tough and over cooked. Asked if they had anymore less done as it said rare on menu . Waitress came back and said chef only has enough for the other pre ordered meals . Dinner was piping hot think possibly microwaved to reheat. Waitress pleasant but did have to ask for desert and then again for coffees as big gap between courses and only 2 of us.

Nothing special to look for outside an ordinary English pub yet the interior is excellent with a warm contemporary look whilst maintaining traditional style. The staff, service, produce was second to none as to be found in a top rated restaurant but accompanied with desirable costing. Highly recommended!!!!
